Former Broncos MLB Al Wilson calls it quits
Wilson's career ended in 2006 due to neck and back injuries. A five-time Pro Bowler and one-time All Pro, Wilson was a fierce hitter in his prime and an effective blitzer from the middle linebacker spot. He finished with 560 tackles, 21.5 sacks, and eight forced fumbles in 119 career starts.

Broncos extend D.J. Williams' contract
It's interesting timing, with Williams moving back to the weak side because of some struggles in the middle last year. But Williams has proven to be a versatile and a consistent ballhawk since he was taken five slots after college teammate Jonathan Vilma in the 2004 first round. He's a rare homegrown Denver defender made good.

Sapp released
Sapp only had a hip flexor, but it was a costly injury. Sapp's best fit was in Denver. At 5'11/228 he isn't going to knock anyone over as a lead blocker and isn't explosive enough to function as a ball carrier in most schemes.

Denver CB Foxworth to be dealt to Falcons
Foxworth fell out of favor with the Broncos because of character issues. The Falcons currently have inexperienced Brent Grimes listed as a starting corner and a rookie nickel back, so Foxworth has a good shot at playing time. The draft pick could be higher if Foxworth resigns with Atlanta after the season.
