Saints waive quarterback Harrington
The Saints had resigned Harrington just earlier this week. The team also waived DE JOSH Savage and activated DT Remi Ayodele and TE Buck Ortega. Ortega isn't much of a receiving option at TE, and Harrington's career is going from bad to worse.

Report: Saints re-sign Joey Harrington
Clayton says Saints coach Sean Payton believes he can remake Harrington as a quarterback. Saints coaches will take him on as a special project, but we remain skeptical about his chances for fantasy value down the road.

Lehr takes Jamar Nesbit's spot on the roster. Ryan will be behind Billy Miller, Mark Campbell, and Buck Ortega. Harrington didn't look as good as Mark Brunell in practice and returns to "out of the league" status.

Harrington signs with Saints
Harrington couldn't beat out D.J. Shockley in Falcons training camp, which qualifies as one of the low points of his now journeyed career. The 2002 No. 3 overall pick is unlikely to unseat Saints No. 2 QB Mark Brunell.
